The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has announced the results of the Class 12 public examinations conducted under the state board syllabus. The overall pass percentage for this year stands at 95.2%.
Along with the results, officials also released details regarding students who secured full marks (100/100) in various subjects. According to the data, students scored a total of 16,024 centums across subjects in the 2026 Higher Secondary examinations.
The subject-wise number of centums is as follows:
- Tamil – 83
- English – 21
- Physics – 105
- Chemistry – 632
- Biology – 784
- Mathematics – 732
- Botany – 31
- Zoology – 18
- Computer Science – 6,945
- Commerce – 683
- Accountancy – 1,946
- Economics – 440
- History – 282
- Computer Applications – 2,099
- Business Mathematics and Statistics – 463
Among all subjects, Computer Science recorded the highest number of centums with 6,945 students scoring full marks, followed by Computer Applications and Accountancy.
The School Education Department also stated that the total number of students from government schools who secured centums in at least one subject stands at 1,865.
The results reflect the strong academic performance of students across Tamil Nadu and highlight the increasing dominance of Computer Science-related subjects among top scorers in the state board examinations.
