New Zealand cricketer Daryl Mitchell has heaped praise on Indian batting star Virat Kohli, calling him a player he deeply admires and has followed closely for nearly two decades.
Speaking about Kohli’s impact, Mitchell said he plans to frame a jersey signed by Virat Kohli and display it in his office, describing the Indian great as the player he looks up to the most. “I have been watching his game for around 20 years. He is the player I truly admire,” Mitchell was quoted as saying.
New Zealand recently toured India for a five-match T20 series and a three-match ODI series. The visitors clinched the ODI series 2–1, while India bounced back strongly in the T20 series, winning four of the five matches to seal the series in their favor.
The exchange of praise has been widely welcomed by fans, highlighting the mutual respect shared between international cricketers despite fierce on-field rivalries.
