Akshaya College Celebrates Placement Day 2026, Sports Day and Annual Day with Grand Ceremony

The grand triple celebration of “Placement Order Distribution Ceremony 2026,” “Sports Day 2026,” and “Annual Day 2026” was held with great enthusiasm on April 30, 2026, at the auditorium of Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, located in Kinathukadavu. The event highlighted the academic, sports, and cultural achievements of the students.

The function was conducted in the presence of Chairman Mr. T. Subramanian, Trustee Mr. S. P. Thiagarajan, Chief Executive Officer Dr. S. Kapilan, College Advisor Dr. R. Joseph Xavier, Principal Dr. R. Ravindran, Vice Principal Dr. K. Sivasankari, and all Heads of Departments.

The celebration began with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu followed by a welcome dance. The dignitaries and students inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Principal Dr. R. Ravindran delivered the welcome address, and Vice Principal Dr. K. Sivasankari presented the annual report outlining the institution’s academic achievements. Chairman Mr. T. Subramanian and Advisor Dr. R. Joseph Xavier delivered felicitation speeches, encouraging the students.

The event commenced with the distribution of Best Student Awards, along with certificates and cash prizes to outstanding performers. This was followed by the Placement Order Distribution Ceremony, where Mr. V. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor from the Computer Science and Engineering Department, presented the placement report. Students selected by leading companies received their offer letters, marking a significant achievement.

Students who excelled in various competitions conducted by college clubs were honored with medals and certificates.

The Sports Day featured a range of athletic and sports competitions, with enthusiastic participation from students. Winners were awarded medals and certificates, and those who achieved success at district, state, national, and international levels were specially recognized with awards and cash prizes.

Cultural performances added vibrancy to the event, with students showcasing talents in solo dance, group dance, Bharatanatyam, and martial arts, captivating the audience.

The celebration served as a platform to promote unity, discipline, and talent among students, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic development.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. C. Nirmala from the Department of Chemistry, followed by the National Anthem.

At the end of the program, the college leadership, including Chairman Mr. T. Subramanian, CEO Dr. S. Kapilan, Advisor Dr. R. Joseph Xavier, Principal Dr. R. Ravindran, Vice Principal Dr. K. Sivasankari, and department heads, posed for a group photograph along with the Best Student Award winners, marking a memorable conclusion to the grand celebration.
