Ayushman Bharat to Introduce Automated Claim Processing for Faster Insurance Settlements

The Government of India is set to introduce automated claim processing under the Ayushman Bharat to speed up insurance settlements and improve patient experience.
Under the new initiative, insurance claims submitted by hospitals will be processed automatically, allowing quicker approval and disbursement of funds. This move is expected to eliminate long waiting hours for patients and ensure smoother discharge from hospitals without delays due to claim processing.
To support this digital transformation, efforts are being made to strengthen the required online infrastructure. Researchers, students, and innovators have been invited to contribute ideas and solutions to enhance the system.
As part of this initiative, skill-based competitions will be conducted in Bengaluru on May 8 and 9. The National Medical Commission has encouraged medical college students and researchers across the country to participate in the event.
