Coimbatore Police to Auction Unclaimed Vehicles on August 5: Registration Details Announced
The Coimbatore District Police will conduct a public auction of unclaimed government-vested vehicles on August 5 at PRS Grounds, Avinashi Road. Registration is mandatory on August 4 with Aadhaar and a refundable ₹10,000 caution deposit.
The Coimbatore District Police has announced a public auction of unclaimed government-vested vehicles, offering members of the public an opportunity to purchase vehicles through an open bidding process. The auction is scheduled to take place on August 5 at 9:00 AM at the PRS Grounds on Avinashi Road, Coimbatore.
Interested bidders must complete the registration process on August 4 to become eligible for the auction. Participants are required to carry their original Aadhaar card, a photocopy of the Aadhaar card, and a refundable caution deposit of ₹10,000. After verification, registered applicants will receive a bidding token.
Only individuals possessing a valid bidding token will be permitted to participate in the auction. The token system has been introduced to ensure a smooth and transparent bidding process.
Successful bidders must pay the full bid amount along with 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the same day to complete the purchase. Once the payment formalities are completed, the vehicles will be handed over to the respective buyers.
The Coimbatore District Police has advised interested participants to complete the registration process within the specified schedule and ensure they carry all the required documents to avoid any inconvenience during the auction.
