Ford Motor Company's **Ford Business Solutions (FBS)** is set to strengthen its presence in India by opening its third technology and business services center in Coimbatore. The new facility, located at **SVB Tech Park**, spans approximately **82,000 square feet** and has the capacity to accommodate **800 employees**, marking a significant investment in the city's growing technology ecosystem.
The Coimbatore center will support a range of business functions, including **accounting**, **finance services through Ford Credit**, and other global business operations. In addition to expanding Ford's shared services capabilities, the facility will also serve as a **business continuity center** for the company's Chennai operations, ensuring uninterrupted support for critical business processes.
According to the company, Coimbatore was selected due to its strong pool of skilled technology professionals, robust educational ecosystem, and rapidly growing automotive and business services environment. The expansion is expected to create new employment opportunities while further establishing Coimbatore as one of India's emerging hubs for global capability centers (GCCs), information technology, and automotive business services.
