Blue Cubs League Showcases Young Football Talent as Dreamchasers Win Both U10 and U12 Titles
The Blue Cubs League football tournament for Under-10 and Under-12 players was held at Golden Sports Welfare Association Turf, with Dreamchasers emerging winners in both categories.

BLUE CUBS LEAGUE OFFERED A PLATFORM TO SHOWCASE YOUNG FOOTBALL TALENT - DREAMCHASERS EMERGE WINNERS
Blue Cubs League, Football Tournament for Under 10 & Under 12 Category was organised for showcasing young football talent on Saturday, 05 September 2026 at Golden Sports Welfare Association Turf from 07.00 AM to 07.00 PM. The tournament was conducted as a 5 a side tournament with 24 minutes duration.
The tournament saw the participation of 12 teams each in Under 10 and Under 12 categories. In Under 10, the participating teams were THUMMUNTITY, GGSA BLUE, GGSA WHITE, GGSA RED, PRIDE, MANCHESTER, YUVA BHARTHI, GDFA, HIFA, THUMMUNTITY-A, NILGIRI and DREAM CHASERS. The following teams participated in Under 12 category - GGSA – RED, THUMMUNITY – B, GDFA, GGSA – BLUE, HFA, SDFA, GGSA – WHITE, BIOFIT, PRIDE, THUMMUNITY – A, NILGIRI and DREAMCHASERS.
The teams went through league matches divided into 4 groups of three teams each so that each team played two matches. The league matches were well competed and the best of young football talent was showcased. The children played well and fair and it was a joy to watch the young energy and talent on display. The league matches that started by 7 AM was conducted in two adjoining turf grounds and the league stage came to an end by 4 PM. The toppers of the league made it to the semi finals. After a high octane knock out clash, the following teams emerged as winners

In addition, there were honours for best player, best goal keeper, best leadership and best team spirit. Certificates were provided to all players. Medals were provided to all players of the teams that finished in the first four places. The top four teams were presented with trophies and shields in the prize distribution ceremony. Dr.D.Saravanamoorthi, Sports Coordinator, Anna University, Mr.Sundaramoorthy, Head Coach, GGSA, Mr.Saravanan, Dr.Nithya, Mrs Saranya, Mr Mani were invited as Special Guests and they handed over the prizes to the winners.
Mr.Manikandan headed the committee that made arrangements for the tournaments. A huge fan of football and a budding coach, Mr.Manikandan mentioned that organising the tournament was his way of giving back to the game which he adored and which has given him a lot of joy. He mentioned that he wanted to provide an opportunity for the young kids to showcase their talent and team work in a competitive environment. He thanked the players, parents, coaches, match officials and sponsors for enabling him conduct the tournament in a meaningful and memorable manner. The feeling was also reciprocated as the parents and players appreciated the efforts taken to conduct such a wonderful tournament.
