Rotary organisations urge residents to recycle old electronic items safely and protect the environment.

Coimbatore, October 14, 2026: Rotary District 3206 has announced an electronic waste (e-waste) collection drive in Coimbatore from October 15 to 31, 2026, to reduce the environmental impact of discarded electronic products and promote responsible recycling practices.

As part of the initiative, residents can bring unused electronic items, including old computers, monitors, keyboards, mobile phones, printers and other electronic equipment, to the designated collection centre. Organisers have emphasised that the safe disposal and proper recycling of electronic waste can help reduce environmental pollution.

According to the event announcement, the collection drive will take place at KTVR Hospital in Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The initiative is being organised jointly by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Centennial, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Legend and Rotary Club of Coimbatore Delight. Other participating organisations include KTVR Hospital, Coimbatore Environment Society, Bharathi Park Women's Association, Ramalingam Nagar Residents Welfare Association and Brahma Kumaris Samajam.
