Rajasthan Royals delivered a dominant performance to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the IPL 2026 Eliminator match, knocking Hyderabad out of the tournament.
The high-scoring knockout clash took place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Wednesday, May 27. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals posted a massive total of 243 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Chasing a daunting target, Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled under pressure and were bowled out for 196 runs in 19.2 overs. Rajasthan Royals sealed an impressive 47-run victory to keep their IPL title hopes alive.
With this win, Rajasthan Royals have qualified for Qualifier 2, where they will face Gujarat Titans, who lost in Qualifier 1. The crucial clash will be played on Friday, May 29, in New Chandigarh, with a place in the IPL 2026 final at stake.
Rajasthan’s powerful batting display and disciplined bowling performance proved too strong for Sunrisers Hyderabad, whose campaign comes to an end despite a strong run in the latter stages of the tournament.
