Gujarat Titans stormed into their third IPL final in five seasons after registering a commanding seven-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026.
Chasing a challenging target of 215 runs, Gujarat Titans produced the highest successful run chase in franchise history. The team reached the target in just 18.4 overs, showcasing a fearless batting display under pressure.
Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a breathtaking 104 runs off 53 deliveries, registering the fastest century in IPL playoff history. Gill's innings was packed with aggressive stroke play and proved to be the foundation of Gujarat's remarkable chase.
He was brilliantly supported by Sai Sudharsan, who scored 58 runs from 32 balls. The duo stitched together a record-breaking 167-run opening partnership, the highest opening stand ever recorded in IPL playoff history.
Earlier in the match, Rajasthan Royals posted an imposing total of 214/6 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to a stunning innings from teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old star smashed 96 runs off just 47 balls, narrowly missing out on a well-deserved century.
