Dengue Cases Rise in Tamil Nadu as 71 New Infections Reported in a Single Day
Tamil Nadu recorded 71 new dengue cases in a single day, taking the state's total dengue infections this year to 17,348, with Chennai reporting 11 new cases.

Chennai: Dengue cases continue to rise across Tamil Nadu, with 71 new infections reported across the state in a single day. With the latest cases, the total number of dengue infections recorded in Tamil Nadu so far this year has increased to 17,348.
Chennai alone reported 11 new dengue cases during the same period. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Health Department has reported that 4,653 people have been affected by scrub typhus, also known as mite-borne typhus, across the state so far this year.
Amid the rise in dengue cases, mosquito control and preventive measures have been intensified in Chennai and other municipal areas. Medical camps and disease surveillance activities are also being conducted in areas reporting higher numbers of fever cases.
Health authorities are continuing preventive and monitoring measures to control the spread of dengue and other vector-borne diseases across Tamil Nadu.
