Pollachi to Get ₹3–5 Crore Micro Tech Park Under Vettri Thamizhaga Mission

Tamil Nadu Minister Keerthana has announced plans to establish a Micro Tech Park in Pollachi with an estimated investment of ₹3 crore to ₹5 crore. The proposed facility is aimed at strengthening the town's technology ecosystem, creating local employment opportunities, and supporting economic development.

The Micro Tech Park is expected to feature modern co-working facilities and high-speed connectivity, providing professionals, entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses with access to a suitable technology-enabled workspace.

The initiative is being planned with a focus on promoting the "Work From Hometown" concept, allowing skilled professionals to pursue employment and business opportunities without having to relocate to major cities.

Under the Vettri Thamizhaga Mission, officials have been directed to identify suitable land in Pollachi for establishing the proposed technology facility. The availability of a dedicated tech workspace is expected to encourage new businesses and technology-driven activities in the region.

The proposed project could also benefit local youth by creating opportunities in technology, digital services, startups, and other knowledge-based sectors. By improving access to modern infrastructure and connectivity, the initiative aims to support Pollachi's transition towards a more technology-oriented local economy.

The Micro Tech Park is expected to become an important step in promoting decentralised economic growth while enabling professionals and entrepreneurs to build their careers and businesses closer to their hometown.
