Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced its entry into the electronics manufacturing sector with a major investment of ₹5,000 crore in Tamil Nadu over the next five years. As part of this strategic expansion, the company will establish a 40-acre advanced electronics manufacturing campus in Coimbatore.
The upcoming facility will focus on the production and development of mobility solutions, power electronics, robotics and automation systems, and strategic electronics. The investment marks a significant milestone in L&T's diversification into high-value electronics manufacturing and advanced technology.
The project is expected to create around 5,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a major boost to the region's economy and supporting the growth of a highly skilled workforce.
The new manufacturing campus is also expected to strengthen Coimbatore's reputation as one of India's fastest-growing industrial and advanced manufacturing hubs.
