CBSE Faces Technical Issues and Student Complaints After Class 12 Results
Students have raised concerns over low marks, blurred answer sheet copies, and technical glitches on the CBSE website following the release of Class 12 board exam results.
Since the release of the CBSE Class 12 board examination results, many students across the country have expressed concern and frustration over their marks and technical issues related to the revaluation process.
The CBSE Plus Two examination results were announced on May 13. This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education introduced the “On-Screen Marking” (OSM) system, under which scanned copies of answer sheets were evaluated digitally instead of being manually corrected by teachers.
Following the results, several students claimed that their scores were significantly lower than expected due to the new evaluation system.
As a result, lakhs of students have reportedly applied online to obtain copies of their answer sheets and verify their marks. Many students also complained that the scanned answer sheet copies available online appeared blurred and unclear.
Meanwhile, social media platforms were flooded with screenshots claiming that CBSE was charging an extremely high fee of ₹69,420 for revaluation of a single subject.
However, officials later clarified that the information was incorrect and appeared due to a technical glitch on the CBSE website. According to the official fee structure, students need to pay ₹300 to obtain a scanned copy of the answer sheet, while revaluation charges are ₹25 per answer.
The screenshots quickly went viral online and created confusion among students and parents before the clarification was issued.
Taking note of the ongoing technical issues, CBSE has extended the deadline for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer sheets until Sunday, May 24.
The online portal for applying for revaluation and answer sheet verification had opened on May 19. However, many users reported that the website repeatedly crashed and related pages failed to load properly.
Several students also claimed that their applications were not successfully submitted even after making online payments.
According to reports, the CBSE website has been facing unprecedented traffic load and technical problems, along with alleged interference attempts by unauthorized individuals, leading to repeated disruptions in the online system.
