SBI Employees Postpone Nationwide Strike Scheduled for May 25 and 26
The nationwide strike announced by SBI employees for May 25 and 26 has been postponed after bank authorities agreed to consider their demands.
The nationwide strike announced by State Bank of India (SBI) employees for May 25 and 26 has been postponed, according to the SBI Employees Federation.
Earlier, SBI employees had announced a countrywide strike demanding action on issues including staff shortages and employment-related concerns.
The All India State Bank Employees Federation had also advised customers to use ATM services, the YONO SBI mobile application, UPI, and internet banking facilities during the proposed strike period to avoid inconvenience.
However, the employees’ union has now confirmed that the strike has been temporarily postponed after discussions with the bank management.
According to reports, the decision was taken after SBI authorities assured employees that their demands would be examined and considered.
As a result, SBI branches across the country are expected to function normally on May 25 and 26, and all banking services will remain available without disruption.
The postponement comes as a relief to customers who were concerned about possible interruptions to banking operations and financial transactions.
