BEL Recruitment 2026: Bharat Electronics Limited Invites Applications for 17 Senior Assistant Engineer Posts in Chennai

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released a recruitment notification for 17 Senior Assistant Engineer vacancies at its Chennai unit. BEL is one of India's leading defence electronics companies, manufacturing advanced systems and equipment for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, while also operating in sectors such as homeland security, smart cities, e-governance, aerospace electronics, renewable energy, cybersecurity, railway and metro solutions, airport systems, electronic voting machines, telecommunications, medical electronics, and software solutions.

According to Recruitment Notification No. **4788/002/REC/HR & A/CHN/2026**, applications are invited for the post of **Senior Assistant Engineer**. A total of **17 vacancies** have been announced, including **10 posts in Electronics, 5 in Mechanical, and 2 in Electrical**.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from **₹30,000 to ₹1,20,000**. Applicants should possess a **BE/B.Tech or Diploma** in the relevant engineering discipline. In addition, candidates must have served for **at least 15 years as a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO)** in any branch of the Indian Armed Forces.

The selection process consists of a **written examination followed by an interview**, with shortlisted candidates being informed through email. As of **June 1, 2026**, applicants must not be more than **50 years of age**.
