India ended their Zimbabwe tour on a high by defeating the hosts by 35 runs in the third and final T20 International at the Harare Sports Club, completing a dominant 3-0 series whitewash.
Batting first, India posted a competitive total of 192/5 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings was anchored by 15-year-old opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who continued his remarkable form with a brilliant 81-run knock. His aggressive stroke play and confident approach provided the perfect platform for India's commanding total.
Chasing 193 for victory, Zimbabwe battled hard but finished on 157/7 in 20 overs. Ryan Burl remained unbeaten with a fighting half-century, but the hosts struggled to build lasting partnerships as India's bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings.
Mayank Yadav led India's bowling attack with disciplined pace bowling, supported by an impressive all-round performance from the visitors, ensuring Zimbabwe never gained momentum during the chase.
The comprehensive victory sealed a 3-0 series sweep for India, marking an impressive turnaround after recent setbacks in the T20 format. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi emerged as the standout performer of the series, scoring two outstanding half-centuries and earning widespread praise for his fearless batting and remarkable maturity at just 15 years of age.
The series triumph also helped India reclaim the No. 1 position in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings, highlighting the team's strong resurgence ahead of its upcoming international assignments.
