TANGEDCO has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Coimbatore on July 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

Residents across several parts of Coimbatore are advised to plan ahead as TANGEDCO has announced a scheduled power shutdown on **Friday, July 24, 2026**, to carry out essential maintenance works aimed at strengthening the city's electricity distribution network.
Power supply will remain suspended from **9:00 AM to 4:00 PM** in areas served by the **Racecourse 110 kV Substation** and **Paduvampally 110/22 kV Substation**.
The affected areas include **Thomas Park, Kamarajar Road, Racecourse, Avinashi Road (from Anna Statue to the Collectorate), Trichy Road (from Kannan Department Store to Ramanathapuram Signal), Puliyakulam Road (from Sungam to Vinayagar Temple), Paduvampally, Kanjapally, Kakapalayam, and Chokkampalayam**.
According to TANGEDCO, the scheduled shutdown will facilitate the maintenance of **110 kV and 22 kV circuit breakers, associated electrical equipment, and other critical infrastructure upgrades**. These works are part of ongoing efforts to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the power distribution network.
Residents, businesses, commercial establishments, and commuters in the affected areas are advised to make the necessary arrangements in advance, as electricity supply will be restored only after the maintenance work is completed. Consumers are encouraged to plan their activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience during the scheduled outage.
