The much-awaited Saibaba Colony Flyover in Coimbatore is set to be opened to the public on July 7, marking a significant milestone in the city's infrastructure development and traffic management efforts.

The 1.2-kilometre flyover has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹75 crore and is expected to provide major relief to commuters by easing congestion in one of Coimbatore's busiest traffic corridors.

Construction work has entered its final phase following a recent inspection by Minister Sampath Kumar. During the visit, officials reviewed the project's progress and directed that the remaining works be completed at the earliest to ensure the flyover is ready for public use as scheduled.

According to officials from the Highways Department, the remaining concrete work is expected to cure during the current week, while tarring of the approach ramps and other finishing works will be completed within the next few days.

With the final construction activities progressing on schedule, authorities have confirmed July 7 as the official opening date for the flyover.

Once operational, the Saibaba Colony Flyover is expected to significantly reduce travel time, improve traffic flow, and enhance road safety for thousands of motorists who use the route every day.
