Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has urged the Central Government to allocate additional funds for the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).
He emphasized that the health scheme, which supports former armed forces personnel, requires enhanced financial backing to ensure quality medical services for veterans and their families.
Rahul Gandhi also demanded income tax exemption on pensions provided to disabled defence personnel. He stated that soldiers who have sustained disabilities while serving the nation deserve greater financial protection and relief.
