UPSC Civil Services 2025 Results Declared: 958 Candidates Recommended; Anuj Agnihotri Tops
UPSC has released the Civil Services Examination 2025 final results. A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for services including IAS, IFS, IPS, and IRS.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025.
The written examination for the civil services was conducted in August 2025, followed by the personality test (interview) in February 2026.
According to the results released by the commission, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various civil services.
The recommended candidates will be considered for prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and other central services that fall under Group A and Group B.
Although 958 candidates have been recommended, final appointments will depend on the number of vacancies available in different services.
Vacancies in IAS and IFS
For the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), there are 180 vacancies in total. The category-wise distribution includes:

General Category: 74

OBC: 47

Scheduled Castes (SC): 28

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 18

Scheduled Tribes (ST): 13
For the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), a total of 55 vacancies will be filled. The distribution is:

OBC: 15

SC: 8

EWS: 6
-
ST: 4

Top Rank Holders
In the all-India ranking, Anuj Agnihotri from Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan secured the first rank.
Rajeswari from Vadipatti in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, secured the second rank, while Akansh Dul from Chandigarh secured the third rank in the prestigious examination.
