Rajasthan Royals secured a convincing 40-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the 32nd match of IPL 2026, played at Lucknow. The win was powered by a disciplined bowling performance after a modest batting total.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 159 for 6 in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja played a key role with a solid 43 runs, stabilizing the innings when the team was under pressure. Contributions also came from Shimron Hetmyer (22) and Donovan Ferreira (20). Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a quick start with 22 runs, while captain Riyan Parag scored 20.
For Lucknow, Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan picked up two wickets each.
Chasing 160, Lucknow Super Giants struggled against Rajasthan’s bowling attack and were bowled out for just 119 runs in 18 overs. Mitchell Marsh was the top scorer with 55 runs, while Nicholas Pooran added 22 and Himmat Singh scored 15.
The Rajasthan bowling unit delivered a strong performance, with Jofra Archer leading the attack with 3 wickets. Nandre Burger and Brarish Sharma (referred as Brijesh Sharma) took two wickets each, while Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi claimed one wicket each.
With this win, Rajasthan Royals showcased a balanced performance, while Lucknow Super Giants faced a disappointing collapse in their batting lineup.
