National Teachers’ Awards 2026: President Droupadi Murmu to Honour 69 Educators
On Teachers’ Day, September 5, President Droupadi Murmu will present the National Teachers’ Awards at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
This year, 48 school teachers have been selected for the National Teachers’ Awards from 27 states, 7 Union Territories and 6 central government organisations.
In addition, 21 teachers and teaching staff from higher education institutions and polytechnic colleges will also receive the National Teachers’ Awards.
The awards are presented to recognise the outstanding contributions, dedication and commitment of teachers and their efforts to bring positive changes to the education sector.
The National Teachers’ Awards ceremony highlights the important role educators play in shaping students and strengthening the education system across the country.
