Gold and silver prices recorded a significant increase across Tamil Nadu today (July 3, 2026), with both precious metals witnessing a sharp rise compared to the previous day. The latest price revision has pushed gold above the ₹13,700 per gram mark for 22-carat jewellery gold, while silver has climbed to ₹260 per gram.

Yesterday, 22-carat gold was sold at ₹13,550 per gram. Today, the price has increased by ₹150 per gram, taking the rate to ₹13,700. As a result, the price of one sovereign (8 grams) of 22-carat gold has surged by ₹1,200, reaching ₹1,09,600.

Silver prices have also moved upward. A gram of silver, which was priced at ₹255 yesterday, has increased by ₹5 and is now being sold at ₹260 per gram. Consequently, the price of one kilogram of silver has risen to ₹2,60,000.
