Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai has expressed gratitude after claiming that 13 lakh people joined his ‘We The Leader’ movement within 24 hours of its membership campaign.
Annamalai, who recently parted ways with the BJP, had invited his supporters to enroll in the organization he launched earlier, known as “We The Leader”. At the time of the announcement, the movement reportedly had around 14,000 members. However, registrations increased rapidly over the following hours, crossing the 13 lakh mark within a day, according to Annamalai.
Thanking supporters for their overwhelming response, Annamalai stated that the support shown towards the movement has given him both immense encouragement and a greater sense of responsibility.
In a message shared on social media, he said that every individual who joined the movement has contributed to a larger collective effort aimed at bringing positive change. He emphasized that the initiative is not the journey of a single individual but a movement driven by citizens who aspire for a better future.
Annamalai further noted that the strong response reflects the aspirations of people who believe change is possible and reaffirmed his commitment to leading the movement with honesty, dedication, and public service.
The rapid growth of the organization has attracted significant attention in Tamil Nadu's political circles, with many closely watching the future plans and activities of the movement as it continues to expand its membership base across the state.
Supporters and political observers alike view the development as a notable moment in Tamil Nadu's evolving political landscape, given the scale of participation claimed within such a short period.
