Bangladesh national cricket team secured a convincing 6-wicket victory over New Zealand national cricket team in the second ODI, leveling the three-match series 1-1. New Zealand were bowled out for 198 runs in 48.4 overs, and Bangladesh chased down the target comfortably, reaching 199 for 4 in 35.3 overs.

Bangladesh’s bowling was led by Nahid Rana, who delivered an outstanding performance by taking 5 wickets. He was supported by Shoriful Islam with 2 wickets, while Taskin Ahmed, Soumya Sarkar and Rishad Hossain picked up one wicket each.

For New Zealand, Nick Kelly top-scored with an impressive 83 runs, including 14 boundaries. Contributions from Henry Nicholls, Will Young and captain Tom Latham were limited, as the batting lineup failed to build momentum.

In the chase, Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto played key roles, adding a crucial 120-run partnership for the third wicket. Tanzid scored 76 runs, while Shanto contributed 50 before retiring hurt. Towhid Hridoy remained unbeaten on 30, guiding the team to victory along with captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

In the women’s match, Bangladesh women's national cricket team also registered a 3-wicket win against Sri Lanka women's national cricket team. Sri Lanka scored 205 for 9 in 50 overs, with Hansima Karunaratne scoring 54 and Imesha Dulani adding 52. Bangladesh bowlers Ritu Moni and Nahida Akter impressed with key wickets.

In response, Sharmin Akhter scored 86 runs and Sobhana Mostary added 42, helping Bangladesh chase down the target in 48.3 overs despite strong bowling efforts from Devmi Vihanga and Malki Madara.
