Trump Says Recovering Uranium from Iran Is Difficult After ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’

Donald Trump has stated that recovering enriched uranium from Iran would be a difficult and time-consuming task following recent military operations. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, he described “Operation Midnight Hammer” as a mission aimed at completely destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities, adding that extracting materials from those sites would require significant effort.

Uranium enrichment is a critical process used to produce fuel for nuclear power plants as well as for nuclear weapons. The United States has long accused Iran of stockpiling enriched uranium for potential weapons development, a claim that has been repeatedly denied by Iran’s foreign ministry.

Trump has referred to enriched uranium as “nuclear material” and has suggested that such material could be transferred out of Iran, although no formal agreement has been confirmed. The ongoing tensions stem from military actions launched by the United States and Israel beginning February 28, targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

The conflict escalated further after accusations that Iran was intensifying efforts to develop nuclear weapons following a previous round of hostilities initiated by Israel. During the latest phase of the conflict, the United States reportedly carried out strikes on three major Iranian nuclear facilities, including uranium enrichment plants, significantly raising global concerns over nuclear security and regional stability.
