During his reply to the demand for grants for the Police Department, Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay stressed that the occurrence of a crime does not by itself mean that law and order in the entire state has completely deteriorated.
The Chief Minister said that the government is taking the issue of crime seriously and that appropriate legal action will be taken against those involved in criminal activities. He emphasized that those who commit crimes will be dealt with according to the law.
Reiterating the government’s position, C. Joseph Vijay made it clear that action would be taken against criminals regardless of who they are. The statement underlined the importance of ensuring that individuals involved in criminal activities are brought before the law.
