Film lovers in Coimbatore are invited to a special Film Society screening of Haq (2025), an acclaimed Hindi-language social drama directed by Suparn Verma. The screening will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Clusters Institute of Media and Technology, Peelamedu, Coimbatore.
Set in 1980s India, Haq tells the compelling story of Shazia Bano, a woman who takes her husband to court after he abandons her and their children. What begins as a personal struggle soon evolves into a landmark battle involving faith, women's rights, justice, and social change.
