Punjab Kings registered a dominant victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the 29th league match of IPL 2026, delivering a commanding all-round performance. Batting first, Punjab Kings posted a massive total of 254 for 7 in their 20 overs, setting one of the highest scores of the season.
Opener Priyansh Arya played a sensational innings, scoring 93 runs off just 37 balls, narrowly missing a century. His explosive knock included 4 boundaries and 9 sixes. Cooper Connolly also impressed with a brilliant 87 runs off 46 balls, hitting 8 boundaries and 7 sixes. Marcus Stoinis contributed 29 runs, while Shashank Singh added 17 runs to strengthen the total.
In reply, Lucknow Super Giants managed 200 for 5 in their 20 overs, falling short of the steep target. Captain Rishabh Pant top-scored with 43 runs off 23 balls, while Aiden Markram scored 42 runs off 22 balls. Despite their efforts, the team could not keep up with the required run rate.
For Punjab Kings, Marco Jansen was the standout bowler, picking up 2 wickets and helping contain the opposition.
