In a high-scoring thriller in the Indian Premier League 2026 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets in Match 41 on Wednesday.
Batting first, Mumbai Indians posted a massive total of 243/5 in 20 overs, powered by a fabulous unbeaten century from Ryan Rickelton, who scored 123 runs off 55 balls, smashing 10 fours and 8 sixes.
He was supported by contributions from Will Jacks (46) and skipper Hardik Pandya (31), helping Mumbai set a daunting target of 244 runs.
In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad delivered an outstanding batting performance, chasing down the target in just 18.4 overs, scoring 249/4.
The chase was built on a strong opening partnership between Abhishek Sharma (45) and Travis Head, who played a crucial knock of 76 runs, including 8 sixes.
Despite a few quick wickets, Heinrich Klaasen took control of the innings with a powerful 65-run knock, while Aniket Arora (30*) provided the finishing touch.
Mumbai Indians bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, with only a few breakthroughs coming from their attack.
