Tamilrockers Says It Will Not Release Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Before Official Theatrical Launch

The upcoming film Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, has been at the center of controversy after reports of an online leak surfaced ahead of its official theatrical release. The film was initially scheduled to release on January 9 during the Pongal festival but was delayed due to issues related to certification.

While the film is now expected to release in theatres in May after the conclusion of elections, it was reportedly leaked online early this morning by unknown sources. This development has shocked both the film’s production team and fans of Vijay.

Amid the situation, piracy website Tamilrockers has stated that it will not release the film on its platform before its official theatrical release. Despite being banned by the government, Tamilrockers continues to operate through multiple mirror websites under different names.

One such platform, TamilMV, released a statement indicating awareness of the political sensitivities surrounding Vijay and the film. The site mentioned that, according to its internal policies, it only uploads films after their official theatrical release and therefore will not upload Jana Nayagan prematurely.

Meanwhile, the film’s production team has issued a strict warning against sharing or downloading the leaked content through platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram. They emphasized that engaging in piracy-related activities is a punishable offense and that legal action will be taken against individuals involved in uploading, downloading, or distributing the film illegally.
