Chennai Super Kings registered a dominant 103-run victory over Mumbai Indians in the 33rd match of IPL 2026, delivering a complete all-round performance.
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings posted a strong total of 207 for 6 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson led the charge with a fabulous unbeaten 101 off 54 balls, smashing 10 boundaries and 6 sixes. He was supported by Ruturaj Gaikwad, who scored 22, and Dewald Brevis, who added 21. Contributions also came from Karthik Sharma (18) and Jamie Overton (15).
In response, Mumbai Indians struggled against Chennai’s bowling attack and were bowled out for just 104 runs in 19 overs. Tilak Varma top-scored with 37 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav contributed 35.
The Chennai bowling unit was exceptional, with Akeal Hosein leading the attack by taking 4 wickets. Noor Ahmad picked up 2 wickets, while Mukesh Choudhary, Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton, and Gurjapneet Singh claimed one wicket each.
