Residents across several parts of Coimbatore are advised to plan their day in advance as TANGEDCO has announced a scheduled power shutdown on Monday, July 20, 2026, to carry out essential maintenance and infrastructure improvement works. Power supply will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The outage will affect areas served by the Pattanam 110/11 kV, Kaduvettipalayam 110 kV, and Kaniyur 110/33-11 kV substations. The affected localities include Pattanam, Pattanam Pudur, Kamban Nagar, Noyal Nagar, Sathyanarayana Puram, Pallapalayam EB Office, Karavali Salai, Nakamanaikan Palayam, Kaveri Nagar, Kamatchi Puram, Pappampatty, N.G. Palayam, S.R. Palayam, parts of Annur, parts of Sundamedu, Kollupalayam, Sheeba Nagar, Thennampalayam, Subrampalayam, Kaliapuram, and Sangothipalayam.

According to TANGEDCO, the scheduled shutdown is necessary to carry out planned maintenance works and strengthen the electricity distribution network. The maintenance is aimed at improving the reliability, efficiency, and safety of power supply in the region.

Residents, commercial establishments, and industrial consumers in the affected areas are advised to make the necessary arrangements in advance and plan their activities accordingly to minimize inconvenience during the scheduled power interruption.
