Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 7 wickets in IPL 2026 Match 64. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive 93 and Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 53 guided RR to a massive chase.
Rajasthan Royals registered a dominant 7-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the 64th match of IPL 2026 on Tuesday, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
The win also marked Rajasthan Royals’ first home victory of the season. With this important result, Rajasthan moved to the fourth position in the points table, while Punjab Kings dropped out of the top four for the first time this season.
Batting first after losing the toss, Lucknow Super Giants posted a massive total of 220/5 in their 20 overs.
Openers Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis gave Lucknow a flying start by adding 109 runs for the first wicket. Josh Inglis played an explosive innings of 60 runs off just 29 balls, smashing 7 boundaries and 3 sixes before being dismissed.
Nicholas Pooran added 16 runs with the help of two sixes before departing. Captain Rishabh Pant then joined Marsh and the duo stitched together another important partnership.
Mitchell Marsh narrowly missed out on a century, scoring a brilliant 96 runs off 57 balls, including 11 boundaries and 5 sixes. Rishabh Pant contributed 35 runs with 2 fours and 2 sixes before getting run out in the final over.
For Rajasthan Royals, Yash Raj Pancha picked up 2 wickets, while Jofra Archer claimed one wicket.
Chasing a huge target of 221 runs, Rajasthan Royals got off to a strong start through Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The opening pair added 75 runs for the first wicket before Jaiswal was dismissed for 43 runs, which included 8 boundaries and a six.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi then unleashed a sensational batting display alongside Dhruv Jurel. The pair added 105 runs for the second wicket and completely shifted the momentum in Rajasthan’s favour.
Suryavanshi played one of the most explosive innings of the season, scoring 93 runs off just 38 balls with 7 fours and 10 massive sixes.
Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 53 runs, hitting 3 boundaries and 3 sixes, while Donovan Ferreira supported him with 16 not out as Rajasthan Royals successfully chased down the target by scoring 225/3 in 19.1 overs.
For Lucknow Super Giants, Akash Singh and Mohsin Khan picked up one wicket each.
