Mumbai Indians (MI) registered a thrilling 6-wicket victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 58 of IPL 2026 at Dharamsala.

Batting first, Punjab Kings posted a strong total of 200 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Opening batter Prabhsimran Singh played an aggressive innings and top-scored with 57 runs off just 32 deliveries, giving PBKS a strong start.

Azmatullah Omarzai provided a late flourish with a powerful knock of 38 runs from only 17 balls, helping Punjab cross the 200-run mark.

For Mumbai Indians, Shardul Thakur delivered an excellent bowling performance and picked up four wickets to restrict the scoring during crucial stages of the innings.

Chasing a target of 201, Mumbai Indians successfully reached 205 for 4 in 19.5 overs after a dramatic finish.

Tilak Varma played a sensational unbeaten innings of 75 runs from just 33 balls and anchored Mumbai’s chase with fearless stroke play under pressure.

Ryan Rickelton also made a crucial contribution at the top of the order by scoring a rapid 48 off 23 deliveries and providing strong momentum during the powerplay overs.

Although Punjab Kings managed to slow the run flow during the middle overs and briefly pulled the match back in their favor, Mumbai batters responded brilliantly in the final overs.

MI scored heavily during the last three overs of the chase to bring down the equation dramatically.

Will Jacks remained unbeaten and finished the match in style with a valuable cameo as Mumbai secured victory with one ball remaining.

Despite the victory, Mumbai Indians had already been eliminated from the playoff race before the match, while the defeat added further pressure on Punjab Kings in the closing stages of the tournament.
