Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a dominant 9-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026, bowling them out for 75 and chasing the target in just 6.3 overs.

In the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a commanding performance to defeat Delhi Capitals by 9 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
After winning the toss, RCB opted to bowl first a decision that proved highly effective. Delhi Capitals struggled against a disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for just 75 runs in 16.3 overs.
The top order of Delhi collapsed dramatically, with six batters dismissed for single-digit scores. At the end of the powerplay, they were reeling at 13 for 6, putting them under immense pressure early in the innings.
A brief recovery came through a partnership between David Miller and Abishek Porel. Miller scored 19 runs off 18 balls, while Porel contributed 30 runs off 33 balls. Kyle Jamieson added 12 runs to push the total slightly higher.
RCB’s bowling attack was led by Josh Hazlewood, who delivered an outstanding spell, picking up 4 wickets for just 12 runs in 3.3 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also impressed with 3 wickets for only 5 runs, dismantling Delhi’s batting lineup.
Chasing a modest target of 76, RCB completed the task with ease in just 6.3 overs, losing only one wicket. Devdutt Padikkal played a quickfire knock of 34 runs off 13 balls*, including three fours and three sixes. Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 23 runs, while Jacob Bethell added 20 runs.
With this emphatic victory, Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered their sixth win in eight matches and climbed to second place in the points table, strengthening their position in the tournament.
