Rajasthan Royals Beat Mumbai Indians by 27 Runs in Rain-Shortened IPL Match

In the 13th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 season, Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 27 runs in a rain-affected contest on Tuesday.

Due to rain delays, the match was reduced to 11 overs per side. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals posted a massive total of 150/3 in 11 overs.

The opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave a flying start with an 80-run partnership. Suryavanshi scored a quick 39 off 14 balls, while Jaiswal remained unbeaten with a fabulous 77 runs off 32 balls, including 10 fours and 4 sixes.

In reply, Mumbai Indians struggled to chase the target and managed only 123/9 in 11 overs. Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya failed to make an impact with the bat.

Some resistance came from Naman Dhir (25) and Sherfane Rutherford (25), but it was not enough to chase down the target.

Rajasthan Royals bowlers delivered a strong performance, with Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma, and Ravi Bishnoi taking two wickets each, while Jofra Archer and Tushar Deshpande picked up one wicket each.

With this win, Rajasthan Royals continued their strong performance in the tournament, while Mumbai Indians will look to bounce back in the upcoming matches.
