India defeated Bangladesh by 40 runs in the semi-final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 to secure their place in the final. Batting first, India posted 149/6 in 20 overs, with Shafali Verma producing a brilliant innings of 64 runs from 40 balls.
Chasing 150, Bangladesh struggled to build momentum and finished at 109/7 in their 20 overs. India’s bowlers maintained consistent pressure throughout the innings, with Deepti Sharma leading the attack with three wickets.
With the victory, India have reached their 10th Women’s Asia Cup final. They will face the winner of the second semi-final between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the title clash.
