Indian Businessman Loses Rs 4.5 Crore Business and Property in Devastating Nepal Floods
Indian businessman Ashok Kumar Chaurasia from Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh has reportedly lost his long-running business and property following severe flooding in the Trishuli area of Nepal.
Chaurasia said he had been running a clothing business in Trishuli Bazaar for around 20 years. He reportedly had four shops and six clothing warehouses, all of which were destroyed in the floods. According to his statement, his business and property worth around Rs 4.5 crore have been affected by the disaster.
His family has also been affected by the tragedy. The body of his relative, Usha Devi, has reportedly been recovered, while his nephew, Rahul Chaurasia, is still missing, according to the latest information.
Chaurasia said that after losing all his belongings in the floods, he has been forced to buy clothes from others to wear.
He has appealed for financial assistance in the form of a loan so that he can return to India and restart his business.
